Product description

The period revolution starts here

Menstrual cups are a breakthrough product, primarily because they are both safer for women and the planet. On average, a woman uses and disposes of over 16,000 disposable sanitary products in her lifetime, which is a burden on the ecology and environment. Menstrual cups, in contrast, are eco-friendly and they last for 5 to 10 years, making them a cost-effective, sustainable alternative.

Besides being sustainable, its comfort factor is something you cannot miss. You don’t need to cancel your usual itinerary, while on your period anymore. Be it swimming lessons, beach days, or dance classes, the comfort of Truecup ensures that it is a leak-proof way to total period comfort.

FIRST TIME HERE? CHOOSE YOUR SIZE

Choosing your cup size is the most tricky part! Size depends upon the size of the vagina. And to remind you small size means small capacity so you might need to empty it frequently. The consensus will be to start with a small size for teens and move to a medium once sexually active. After birthing medium or large could be used. Small cups are more comfortable. However, it comes with a rider: small cups in a large patulous vagina might not work as effectively as you wish, since small cups won’t be able to produce vaccum seal mechanism. Please go through the guide. TrueCup is available in 3 sizes – Small (S), Medium (M) & Large (L).

PREPARING TO USE TRUECUP

Inserting a menstrual cup is not all that daunting: it’s a fairly easy process, and with practice you become perfect You only need to stay patient and calm. Here’s one handy tip for easy insertion: Lubricate your cup and it will help make the process smoother. Before you put in your cup, lubricate the rim with water or a water-based lube. Here then is a step-by-step guide on how to safely, comfortably, and effectively use a Menstrual cup.

CLEANSING AND STERILIZING YOUR MENSTRUAL CUP

  • Remove your Truecup from its packaging and sanitize before your first use.
  • Remember menstrual cups should be properly washed and sterilized before and after each cycle.
  • While you are on your period, you do not need to sterilize your menstrual cup each time you empty it. A simple cleaning with warm water or Senziwash Menstrual Cup wash will be enough.

FAQ

How do I select a menstrual cup?
Choosing a menstrual cup is dependent upon two factors –

Whether you have a high or low cervix.

If your longest finger goes all the way into your vagina before it reaches the cervix then it is a high cervix. So you should use a medium cup. And if the cervix is found near the knuckle mark of your finger, then that is a low cervix, which means you can use a small cup.

Your flow

Depending on your flow, you should be able to decide whether you need a small or medium sized menstrual cup. The Z Cup, however, has a larger capacity than regular cups, so don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

How do I insert the TrueCup?
The key to inserting a menstrual cup is to relax your body. Remember, the more tense you are, the more difficult it will be to insert a menstrual cup.

Sit on the toilet seat and spread your legs apart. You can also bring one leg up toward your chest to help manoeuvre the TrueCup.

Fold the cup according to your preferred fold. Since the TrueCup is made from medical grade silicone, it is extremely soft and will roll as thin as a tampon or your ring finger.
Now gently, insert the cup using your fingers to guide it inside your body.

Once inside, the cup will pop open and will be ready to collect your flow.

Remember, if you can feel the cup after insertion, it means you haven’t worn it correctly. Remove and reinsert. You shouldn’t be able to feel it inside you.

How to remove the Truecup?
Removing the TrueCup is easy. Just like insertion, the key is to relax. Sit on the toilet seat and spread your legs. You can also lift one leg up – the point is to stretch the vagina a little. Use your fingers and reach the stem. Now slowly pinch the cup, twist and gently pull out the TrueCup.

Use lukewarm water and a Ph balanced soap to wash your cup before reinserting.

How do I know that the cup has been placed properly?
You can find out if the TrueCup has been inserted properly by taking any of the three tests.
Just like a tampon, you won’t feel the TrueCup inside you.
On inserting the TrueCup, you can use your fingers to feel the bottom of the cup. You will see that the cup has taken a U shape. This means the cup is in place and has opened inside you, ready to collect your flow.

Finally, use your fingers to hold the stem and rotate the cup. You will be able to rotate the cup 360 degrees using the step.

Does the cup hurt inside?
If you can feel the cup after insertion, it means you haven’t worn it correctly. Remove and reinsert. You shouldn’t be able to feel it inside you.
